Shanti Weiland recently wrote a book of poems about Star Trek: The Next Generation. Her first book, Sister Nun, was the winner of the Negative Capability Press Book Competition, judged by Amy King. She also hosts the web corner, Online Enlightenment.
Weiland received a BA in English from the University of California, Davis; MA from Northern Arizona University; and Ph.D. in Poetry from the University of Southern Mississippi. She lives in Birmingham with her wife and pets.
